Happy Father's Day

A father's dream is to live and fulfill his duty as a father. This shoot was very special and was the day right before father's day. This family was extremely fun to shoot and I am sure daddy wouldn't have it any other way. These girls are as sweet as candy and of course they must get it from MOMMY.

This is one LUCKY Daddy.... Happy Father's Day..

Today was a wonderful day, a little bit to Sunny outside for a shoot out at a park. This wonderful family wanted some shots done around the home inside/outside and Mamaratzy had such a wonderful time shooting them.
This sweet 5 year old was full of stories and smiles, while shooting him I even learned more about Super Mario Brothers. (LOL)

Mini shoot for Mommy

This little sweet girl just had to be featured in Mamaratzy's blog. She was full of LIFE and full personality. I loved working hands on with this sweet little girl. Using my 50mm at 1.4 got the DOF that I was looking for. She was the perfect little subject to use with my NIFTY FIFTY.

Sweet newborn 13 days new

Beautiful little Newborn girl and her family. I had the joys of shooting this wonderful families maternity pictures as well as this Beautiful little bundle of Joy who was 13 DAY NEW... She was such a wonderful little girl to photograph.

Capturing those sweet little parts..

It is always important when shooting our little ones to make sure to capture those sweet  tiny parts before they grow... This was just a quite post of a sweet little boy that I shot a few weeks ago..

Michelle's surprise Bridal Shower

This sweet, sweet young lady normally attends weekend dinner's with her family and was completely surprised to see what was awaiting her upon her arrival.

This was not the only surprise... Her grandmother passed down a very precious piece of jewelry and has a tradition when all of the girls in the family complete a big change in their lives. The expression on her face was MAGICAL.

Oh and I must not forget how she loves Hearts...

How Mamaratzy Shoots

I shoot RAW  and sometimes Raw- JPeg for multiple reasons.  With the JPeg’s I can quickly open to pull out the ones with bad faces, eyes closed, weird composition and trash it and the RAW file right away. I am not perfect, well at least not all the time!  While I have been shooting solely in manual for over a 2 years, I still mess up, especially when I’m photographing children.  I have a tendency to pay attention to them more and forget my metering. I still will get blurry images or bad images altogether. Last and finally not least, I do NOT want the camera to be any more than the tool that captures what *I* want it to capture. I don’t want my camera having any impact in a negative way against my art. I want full control over the lighting and processing of my picture, which is why shooting in RAW is important.

Shooting Raw allows a photographer to manipulate and change needed colors. (Such a pictures that is BLOWN out or an image that is too DARK)

Reason #1 and my only reason to shoot in RAW

RAW – NO processing done by camera. It is RAW. Uncooked. Untouched. Unprocessed.
Jpeg – Camera runs it’s own processing program on the photo.

Shooting JPEG is aking an artist to paint on a canvas that is already colored over.  There is no fresh clean slate in which to process.
